Mount Faber Safra Club and Ashley!!
Last sat was invited to join a badminton session with Zann and Yan gang at Mt Fabor Safra club. Since it was my 1st time there, I didn't really know where the club was. Thinking that I know Telok Blangah area very well, I just went there by intuition and hoping to go up the slope to Mt Fabor. I was thinking, how cool this club to be up the hill. Okok, dun sweat yet, I really didn't know man... Luckily my eyes were alert enough to spot the sign to Safra.
Wow, this place is really huge. They have like everything. Outdoor rockclimbing (though a bit small), tennis courts, street soccer, multi-purpose hall for badminton, gym, swimming pool, bowling alley, restaurants, etc... Click here to check out the full facilities. Although it isn't really very convenient to get there, I think I may check it out more often (and I'm also glad its not on the hill).
So after getting lost I finally found my way to the courts where Zann, Yan, Thomas, Mandy, Jerlene, Michelle, Junming (not me) and Josh were.
The other Junming from Hope. Remember him when you are paying your tithes?
While Yan, Thomas fought over at the other side.

I think pictures where people are not expecting anything looks better right?
After that they went to change/shower while I tried to swim. Argh, the swimming pool was quite murky and I was really tired so I decided to pull out after just 5-6 laps. Then I met up with them for their 2nd round of competition at the bowling alley.
Team A: Thomas (captain), Mandy and Josh vs Team B: Zann, Jerlene and Tricia
Junming (coach), Tiger (photographer), Michelle (pong-pong girl).
Some of us preferred to sit around and just eat. Putting back the calories we burnt in badminton.

First Game, Team B won narrowly.
Preparing for the 2nd round.
Freaky score here. Both teams got the exact same score after 3 bowls each.
And the last bowl of the day!!
Team B won again, and Ms Tracia leads the team!! Very unexpected... haha.. indeed...

As we parted, I made my way to IKEA to look for my potential room table and wardrobe.
In the end, bought the dining table as it was the only one cheap and small enough to fit in my room. A friend commented why I didn't already have a table in my room, thats because, since I moved into my current house, I didn't really need to study in Singapore.
Anyway, spent the night fixing the table although my right arm was super sore from badminton. I didn't have any strength actually, until I used my mum's OTOtrimax massager to work on my forearm.
Sunday (pics not updated yet).
Pastor Jeff, as usual was his interesting and attention grabbing teachings. Main idea was about friendship. How to be a good friend? Encourage each other more and frequently. If you have nothing good to say about the person, better just keep quiet. Love of friends should be constant. Friendships deepens during tough times. After the service, it made me want to sms my best friend Ben telling him how I missed him. But of course, I delayed that until Tues (alamak.. but then I'll be meeting him again next week).
So some of us went to get the caregroup gift for little Ashly, a baby gym, as the mother requested :) Wah, look for thing halfway, half the guys went MIA. Anyway, I brought my neighbour along. Afterwhich I brought the present and my neighbour to visit little Ashley.

Then it was a evening of insomnia from naps, turned into guitar practices. A quite tiring but happy weekend.
